Hanam University (President Lee Kwang-Sup) is receiving a positive response from students after becoming the first private university in the Daejeon area to offer "1000 won breakfasts." According to Hanam University on the 11th, they began providing "1000 won breakfasts" at their dormitory cafeteria on the 10th by investing their own budget. Previously, Hanam University had provided breakfast to students for 4,000 won per person, but after implementing the "1000 won breakfasts" program, more students are coming to the cafeteria for breakfast as the price has significantly decreased. Kim Seung-joo, a student of the Fashion Design Department, said, "For college students, the cost of meals is high, so it's great to get a meal for only 1000 won. I will probably eat breakfast every day, which I didn't before because it was too burdensome." Hanam University has completed an additional application for the "1000 won breakfasts" program being promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and, if selected, will receive support of 1000 won per person from the ministry. They conducted a preference survey among students to decide on the menu and are providing a simple breakfast meal. President Lee Kwang-Sup said, "We are implementing '1000 won breakfasts' to help students have a healthy life with a cheap breakfast. If we are selected for the ministry's program, we plan to move the program to the student center cafeteria so that more students can have breakfast for 1000 won."
