The BI management evaluation is conducted annually by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups on 262 incubation centers nationwide. Hanam University's Startup Support Center received high scores for its excellent business support and incubation management system, such as its expertise, operational infrastructure, achievement of business plans, linkage with related agencies for resident companies, and management of operational performance.
The BI Incubation Capacity Enhancement Support Project, selected as the main agency for a total of 55 centers, including Hanam University, among 134 incubation centers in four regions (Capital Region, Central Region, Honam Region, and Yeongnam Region) selected by the Korean Association of Business Incubation, is a business that supports the development and operation of original incubation programs to induce specialization of incubation centers and promote the growth of resident companies.

As a result of being selected for these projects, Hanam University's Startup Support Center will receive approximately KRW 167 million in project funding, including counterpart funds, and will operate specialized startup support programs, such as the nurturing and advancement of research and development companies. The center will also work closely with local governments to promote cooperation and collaboration.
Kim Woon-jung, director of the Startup Support Center, said, "We will make efforts to provide generous support for the development of excellent products of startup companies and the cultivation of competitive venture companies, and to contribute to local economic revitalization and performance through the construction of an industry-academia collaboration network."
Since its designation in 1998, Hanam University's Startup Support Center has been operating a total of 139 incubation rooms and supporting 78 resident companies. The bio, nano, and chemical sectors account for 56% of the companies, and the resident companies have generated an average of 424 employees and KRW 42.3 billion in annual sales.
