Daejeon and Korea are very safe places to be and crime is infrequent. People walk the streets even late at night without any fears. However, emergencies do sometimes occur. In these cases please dial 119 to get the appropriate emergency response service (police, firefighters, ambulance). It is also a good idea in emergency situations to call your buddy, CIR representative, or other friends to help you.

Additionally, there is a Nurse’s Office that opens at 9am and closes at 5pm during the semester. It is located in the Student Union Building.
