Hannam University (President Lee Kwang-sup) announced on the 14th that it has been selected as a supporting organization for the Daejeon Metropolitan City Cooperative Support Project for the second consecutive year in 2023. As a result of this project selection, the university will receive KRW 193 million in support funds to provide customized support for the growth stages of social economy enterprises and cooperatives in the Daejeon area.

Hannam University plans to provide various support services such as direct trading market development and operation, independent strengthening fund support, Cooperative Day event hosting, network building, and cooperative-related projects, while utilizing the university's resources. Last year, 13 cooperatives received support, including website development, logo design, and product packaging container development, which helped with their establishment.

Professor Yoo Geun-joon, who is in charge of the project, said, "Hannam University aims to establish a hub for Daejeon cooperatives by linking the resources of the university and the local community, and supports the development of social economy enterprises in the region and the creation of a social economy ecosystem."
